Advancing Professional Customs Brokerage and Trade Facilitation

The Customs House Agents Association of Ghana (CHAAG) is the national professional body representing licensed Customs House Agents, Customs Brokers and Freight Forwarders in Ghana. Founded in July 2026 with 42 founding companies, CHAAG unites professionals who facilitate trade at Ghana seaports, airports and land borders.

CHAAG provides a unified platform through which members can strengthen professional standards, advance their collective interests and contribute to a more efficient customs brokerage and freight-forwarding industry.

Our Purpose

The Association was established to promote professionalism, ethical conduct and excellence throughout the industry. We support our members through advocacy, professional development, access to regulatory information, welfare initiatives and constructive engagement with government and industry stakeholders.

By bringing professionals and member companies together, CHAAG helps create a stronger collective voice on matters affecting customs operations, freight forwarding and trade facilitation in Ghana.

Connecting Government and Industry

Customs house agents operate at an important point between traders, customs authorities, ports and other institutions within the trade and logistics system.

CHAAG promotes constructive collaboration among these stakeholders. We work to improve understanding, encourage compliance, address industry concerns and support initiatives that make the movement of goods more efficient and transparent.
